Patapsco Interceptor Relocation and Bloede Dam Removal Construction

American Rivers (AR) and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (MD DNR) are accepting bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following work on the Patapsco River:

  • Relocation of Patapsco Interceptor (Baltimore County);
  • Relocation of sanitary sewer pipe (Howard County);
  • Removal of concrete dam and appurtenances; and
  • Restoration of stream channel within the impoundment and vicinity of the dam.

Bid packages are available on or about April 8, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. for download here, as well as the full set of plans and technical documents from the engineer’s website.

A mandatory site visit and pre-bid meeting will be held on April 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Orange Grove Picnic Shelter #106,  5120 South Street (address of the Patapsco Valley Park Avalon entrance), Baltimore, MD.

Bids must be sent via email to Serena McClain at by May 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

MD DNR and AR reserve the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any requirements and to accept all or part of any proposal considered to be in the best interest of the project.
