The Maryland Stream Restoration Association will be holding our Annual Summer Field Trip on August 16, 2016 at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC).  Tom Jordan will be giving a presentation on the recently completed SERC Muddy Creek Stream and Wetland Restoration Project. Mr. Jordan will also discuss the pre- and post-restoration monitoring efforts being conducted in collaboration with USFWS, DNR, and SERC.

  • Transportation Directions: Enter SERC through Contees Wharf Road and proceed to the gravel parking lot across from the Schmidt Center.  We will gather there initially, and carpool about 1 mile down to the restoration site, which can only hold 6 vehicles.

Post Trip Gathering Location: Stan and Joe’s (Edgewater, MD Location) @ 7 PM

  • Appetizers Will Be Provided, Cash Bar.
